I post this picture, however, because this is what we call an "after" pic!! What I saw today on Ellen, was Jillian's before pic. Did you know she had one? I didn't!
Apparently, when Jillian was younger, she weight 175 lbs. I saw pictures of her quite overweight in her teen years. Now, to my fellow competitors, I know that 175 is chump change to us, but to a high school girl, it's the equivalent of being much larger as an adult.
I had no idea there was ever a time when Jillian wasn't in the picture perfect shape she is in now, but I like knowing that she's familiar with the struggle that she helps the contestants with. That makes a big difference to me.
Jillian was on Ellen and Bob was on Bonnie Hunt this morning. Bob said he was disgusted when they had the contestants do the public weigh ins at home before coming to the ranch. He thought it was really tacky, but when he asked the contestants about it, they said it was actually a freeing experience to them. There's just more people to remind them of what they are fighting for, when they eventually go home. I can see that.
He also said he thought the bike challenge on the first day was extreme. He and Jillian never would have started them off doing all that, but they don't have a say in the challenges. Lately, I've heard both trainers speak out against some of the most extreme components of the show, and it actually makes me like them a lot more.

I'm sure you predicted that I love this post since the trainers had the opinion that some of the things the show did were extreme... I'm glad that my 'negative' observations were sort of in tune to the trainers on the show.
I think Jillian looks phemominal of course... but she seems to be a meany... I will watch the entire season before I make a true judgement on that though -
At least she did struggle at one time, that does make a difference.
Jillian has said that they make her look like a psycho on the show because it's a show. She'll have hours and hours of normal behavior, but they show the one second they are all yelling or crying or whatever. I'm sure that's true. They all LOVE her, so she must not be mean to them.
Well Jillian is the tough as nails trainer and Bob is teh trainer with the heart of gold. They used to split up the contestants and her trainees tended to win more than Bobs. Now they train them together so I think they get a healthy dose of both types.
She does look mighty good!
