Riding on a road to no where


That's my summation of a workout on an exercise bike - LOL.  The whole time I was on the bike today, I was trying to figure out when the weather would work with me so that I could actually ride a bike outside for my training.  I have a ways to go!

My back was really sore last night, probably from swimming a half mile.  I need to work on my form so that I'm not hurting my back.  I think that I'm twisting something when I turn around each time, and I think that's bothering my back. 

I went to the gym this morning with Alison, and we both did the exercise bikes.  Today, since my back was bothering me, I was going slower than I have been, and I averaged 4 minutes a mile.  I did end up doing the full 10 miles today, and it was a good workout, but I could have kept going - however, I had to get to work!

I know that since I'm on level 1, I still have a ways to go with training and working my way up to higher levels, but for now, I'm focusing on the cardio and the mobility issues, and I'm not as concerned with the strength training portion.  That will come next, and I have plenty of time.

I really love working out in the morning.  I feel like I have so much energy to greet the day.  I'm a little sore, so I probably won't go swimming tonight, but if my back is better, I may fit a swim in later...we shall see. 

Today is our biggest loser weigh in.  I'm eagerly awaiting the results.  :)

Good Luck on the weigh in and great job with getting exercise in the smart way without re-injuring yourself
