What I put in my mouth

It is essential, for any healthy eating program, to get in lots of fresh fruits and veggies.  I do my best to incorporate 4-5 servings every day into my diet.  Not only are they a great source of vitamins, but they are also a great source of water!

This past week, I averaged 1000 calories/day.  I was working out more than the first week, which is why I consumed about 300 more calories each day, on average.  I was still very careful not to eat after 7, and if I hadn't had a higher calorie day on Saturday, I may have been closer to 900, but I think 800-1200 calories per day is the right range for me while I'm working out.

I go a great job of getting in protein, fruits and veggies, fiber and calcium with my smaller calorie budget, because I spend my calories wisely!  :)

I was down 3.8 lbs for the week, so almost the four that I was down a few days ago - close enough.  I may have had a spike in my weight because I was retaining water from the prednisone as well...who knows.  I'm just going to keep chipping away.

The weight is coming off at a good pace - not exactly falling off me, but it's moving at a good clip in the right direction.  More than any differences I'm feeling in my clothing so far (which are minimal to nil) are the differences I'm feeling in my body from working out.  I feel less bloated, more energetic, and like I'm really turning into a calorie burning machine.

Normally on the bike, my heart rate is between 140 and 160, but today it was 115-125.  I know I was going a little slower than recently because of my back, but I was going the same pace I went last week, and last week, I was between 140 and 160.  It's amazing the difference a week can make when you put in a good effort.

I'm excited to see where I can be by next week!

Fruits and Veggies are good for you. Stir Fry is my only healthy meal and I would need to eat that daily to keep up with your intake.

Fairly certain I am being you on my intake for sugar, fructose, and fritos
